Show John Pack DU DUThe DUP The John Pack Camp Daughters Daugh- Daugh of Utah Pioneers held its monthly meeting from We West s t Bountiful to Henefer and back on Thursday May 19 THE CAMP members with guests started at 9 am a.m. to see two of the trails used by their f pioneer ancestors as they entered entered en- en the Salt Lake Valley in 1847 and later Their first point or of interest alter after was the remains ot of the first and tree in the Salt Lake Valley when the pioneers first arrived THEY WERE shown the last camping grounds ot of the Saints before entering the Valley and marks ot of the wagon train that are still visible over Big and Little Mountains Arriving in they toured the Hoyt home which has been furnished with antique furniture furniture fur fur- pictures and everything is not just to look at but is being used by the Crittendon family who own the home MRS CRITTENDON has a collection of dolls and also makes and sells dolls of different differ differ- ent descriptions The tour included luncheon at atthe atthe the DUP log cabin in Henefer prepared by the DUP Camp and served to the ladies along with witha a history ot of Henefer which was very interesting MR CRITTENDON keeps different different dif dif- ferent kinds ot of fowl Including a colored peacock and several white peacocks who like to show showoff off for visitors |
