| Show NOTICE TO publishers ogden city utah april 5 1002 notice is hereby given by the board of education city that it intends to adopt text books for the public schools of said city for use during the period of avo year from the ast 1st daiy diy of july 1902 the following is approximately the number and kinds of books required primers and first grade readers second grade third grade readers fourth grade readers 1000 fifth grade readers 1000 sixth grade readers 1000 seventh grade readers 1000 eighth grade readers supplementary readers elementary language books engleh grammars or language and grammar spelling books primary 2500 higher 2500 mental elementary geographies 2300 higher geographies elementary U S histories 1000 advanced U S histories physiology and hygiene copy books musio books drawing books HIGH SCHOOL BOOKS 2000 english classics college ent history of literature english grammar rhetoric and composition greek roman history english history united stales history logic ff psychology physical geography elementary algebra advanced algebra geometry trigonometry civil government latin grammar beginning latin latin cicero latin caesar 75 virgil latin physics chemistry astronomy german grammar german readers beginning german readers advanced I atin composition latin grammar botany zoology physiology german comp 1000 german classics french grammar french classics short hand typewriting separate and sealed proposals from publishers to furnish each kind of book in alie number indicated above or such less number as said board may require each year stating the bid and terms thereof to be accompanied by sample copies of the beoka proposed to be furnished together with a statement of the introductory or exchange price and of a wholesale and a retail price nt which the publisher agrees to furnish each book within ogden city during the full period of five years above stated will be received by the eaid board at its emco omco in rooms eccles building in ogden city utah until the hour of 8 p in on the ath day of june 1003 at which time and said board will meet and publicly open and read all the proposals which shall have been received and will make its decision within thirty days thereafter the publisher or publishers whose proposals ahall bo accepted must enter nto a written contract with the said board of education and shall give a bond with two sufficient sureties in a reasonable sum to be by the board tor the faithful performance of euch contract the board reserves tho right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof the board of education of ogden cily by 11 S kalapp clerk |
