Show CLIFTON HEARING IS UP IN JUDGE HALLS COURT THIS AFTERNOON clifton who was arrested last tuesday by officers pender and brown was given a hearing this afternoon en a charge of battery the case was conducted before judge hall judge representing clifton and county attorney halverson the state the principal witness was john ellis a carpen cpr employed on brownings new building who noticed the defendants suspicious actions on the day of abo arrest with a crowd of small boys and had summoned the officers it was brought out in the evidence of this witness that the defendant was drunk the four small boys in question were placed on the stand and corroborated the testimony of mr eells they added some details too revolting to publish the case is still proceeding at the hour of going to press |
