vessels of all sizes ashore or sunk in and near boston harbor seven sever large schooners ners and two baltimore coal barges are completely wrecked and it is estimated that between twenty five and thirty lives have been lost only ona one body has yet been recovered more than a dozen are reported in the surf at hull and efforts are being made to recover then the steamer ohio ot of the warren line is high and dry on spectacle island it Is very doubtful it if she can be floated until a channel has been dug the ocean going tug la to on the rocks at rainsford island and will be a total wreck the management ot of the portland steamship company announced at noon today that they had no information as to the whereabouts of the steamer portland which left this city saturday night for portland during the forenoon a 1 report was in circulation that the portland was at anchor in Glou chester harbor but the captain of the steamer gloucester which arrived from that port says the portland is not a gloucester the company has received a dispatch from portsmouth stating that their vessel hadnot has not put in at that wat port gloucester Mass Nov 2 28 nine vessels were lost in the blizzard near
