Campbell had a little more biblical knowledge than his antagonist and asked of the clan McLean before the flood. "Flood! what flood?" asked McLean. "Why the Hood that drowned all the world but Noah and his family, and hi.-flock." hi.-flock." returned Campbell. "I'ooh! you and your flood," said McLean, '-my elan was before that Hood of course." "I have not rend in my Bible," said Campbell, "of any one of the name ol McLean going into Noah's ark."
