his life late friday night he was standing with several gentlemen in F B Hurl hurlbutt buts drug store corner twenty fifth and washington and the group were baa having an all around talk on various topics when of a sudden mr air shields fell back 0 as one dead col A B hayes was fortunately tuna tely standing close to mr shields brind and caught him in hie his arms A doctor was summoned at once and as soon as possible mr shields was removed to a room in the broom hotel where be was kept till yesterday yeat erday afternoon when he lie bad had eo so far recovered as to be in a safe condition tor for removal for some time mr shields has been afflicted with heart disease and several times has bad had fainting attacks followed with convulsions friday nights attack was wan very severe the convulsions coming p periodically eri throughout the night till 6 clock saturday morning toe patient suffered greatly but all that could be was done for him by medical aid and solicitous friend friende it is to be hoped that mr shields will rally and soon recover from this last attack A case of mistaken identity on friday night Ala young came to ogden on the trail of a noted outlaw wanted for highway robbery and other crimes A well known traveling man mat who it would be too bad to name was of being the man wanted as be he answered fully the descriptions the officers have of the outlaw both in photograph and writing Alar marshal young did not find bis his man and so turned the matter over to marshal metcalf who with officer kofl icer tyree kept a strict batchall wat watch chall all day yesterday d a yand and toward evening succeeded in locating as they supposed suppo ced their man at the reed when lo 10 and behold I 1 it was found that in his ibis case it was a matter of mistaken identity and once again the officers were cheated of their prey and the newspaper men the subject of a sensational sat ional write up it will cost that traveling man something to set ern up
