checks forber for her fare the next day two trunks were taken from here to logan by the conductor for these parties and had been checked from oden ogden our sheriff telephoned the sheriff of cache county to arrest and hold I 1 them theno which was done they were brought back and andrad bad a bearing before justice ensign friday afternoon they had no evidence to offer in explanation of their conduct the woman described their trunks and yet at could not pick them out when abed asked t to at the eta station tion she did not know s sho he had bad the checks and yet gave them to the conductor to secure her faro fare the men could not understand why they had been arrested as they bad gone away in good faith and left the woman oh to pay the bills all t this Is had due consideration by the judge and he found them guilty of trying to da ds fraud the hotel keeper and imposed a fine of two to dollars and fifty cents each and coats |
