Show SEVEN CABS H A TRAINWRECKEB On the Iakesiile siding Saturday afternoon seven cars of ore became detached from the engine and ran away. They soon collided vitii refrigerator re-frigerator cars and "completely demolished de-molished them. The pilot and tank of the engine were broken and the engine en-gine derailed. In the mixup the fireman fire-man suffered a badly sprained ankle. The train, in charge of Conductor Katigan. was picking up the ore cars at the Lakeside siding when the seven sev-en curs broke looic. The accident was caused by the slippery condition of the rails making it difficult to get the strlns properly started. The strain of the engine pulling was too much for the couplings, and the train parted, part-ed, crashing into other freight cars set out there. The Injured fireman went to Mon-tollo Mon-tollo after the accident to have his ankle treated. As the accident occurred on the ;lc!o track, the traffic of the regulnr train was not delayed, tbe main line being left cleJir A wrecker and a string of flat cars were ordered by the conductor of the unfortunate train, and the three derailed de-railed cars, and tho engine were soon placcJ on the rails. |
