Although the man was not killed he stii-tained Injuries which makes his recovery very improbable. Tho accident happened on the San Pedro road near Callentc, Nevada. I Lewis, who Is a resident of Butte, ! was walking across a bridge about I 2-30 o'clock In the afternoon when he ! was caught on the structure and I tossed into the river. Having witnessed the accident, tho members of the train crew rescued (he man irom the river before ho vas drowned. It was found that he had sustained Injuries to both legs, one leg being broken; thero was a bad g.ith on the head; four ribs fractured, together with internal injuries. Dr, C. K.
