Warner had left the Clift house rooms and gone for a bottle of whisky. As he was lenvlug the doorway of the building build-ing he overheard the three men conversing con-versing In low tones and looked at them closely as he left the building. Returning with the bottle of whisky o few minuteB later, he was followed to the rooms by. the three men he had seen a few moments before. As soon as they entered the room they were seen to be masked with handkerchiefs, hand-kerchiefs, ami the hoblnp followed. K. R. Smith, who lost the diamond ring alleged to hae been pawned by Biinghurst, returned from O.den Saturday Sat-urday afternoon, where he had gon? lo locate the jewel. He said that he had not found the ring, but had discov ered the man who took it out of the pawnshop. Smith said that he had pone to the county jail the first part of the week, but had not been allowed to see the prisoner Ho also said that he is not positive as to whether ho can Identify the man who toou tlia ring.
