Show ! ITR. "CRANE" IN "FATHER AND THE BOYS," ' Ogden Theater, Wednesday, Feb. , 9th. i I That prize comedian, W. H. Crane, ! will be at the Ogden Theater, tuuii.r- row night, in "Father and the Boys," ' by George Ade, a piece which, by many reliable accounts, has proved an unmistakable hit for both actor and j author. Mr. Ade has written a most I entertaining comeady, and he has sub-piled sub-piled Mr. Crane with a capital role which the latter enacts ln most dl-: dl-: verting fashion. As a matter of fact. ( the comedian has done nothing to com-I com-I pare with It since "Dad Harum," and i It bids fair to last much longer than i that number one success. The piece is Ade at his best, with hia irreslst ible flow of wit, humor and satire and the play has an interesting story with which to hold an audience. The combination of Crane nnd Ade, both I doing their best In something that theatergoers wunt. has evidently been i productive of the most unusual sur- resH. for "Father and the Boys" is j now in its third season of unqualified I trumph. Among its records Is a four I months' run nt the Empire Theater. I Now York, and local playgoers will see It with the complete, company nud scenic investiture used In the original production. |
