Show ON TRIAL FOR GRANDJ.ARCENY The jury In the case of the State ; of Utah against Charles J. Dyer will . al a late hour this afternoon retire to ' the jury room lo determine upon a I verdict In the case. Dyer Is charged with having committed the crime of I grnud larceny in Ogden, September i I 27, 1909, on the Tabernacle square, when he is alleged to have robbed O. Yaqishita. a Jap, of $15. The witnesses examined this morning morn-ing were R- M. Clark and John Mil-burn, Mil-burn, who told of having witnessed the operations of Dyer and his partner, part-ner, Van Hem, and of calling the officers. Tatrolman James Crompton, who arrested Dyer, testified to taking the fivf and ten-dollar bills from Dyer of which he had kept the numbers. The same were ofored in eidenec. At a late hour this afternoon a motion mo-tion for continuance to Tuesday waj granted. |
