Show NEIGHBORS IN A LITTLE QUARREL The case of the city against George Sickler occupied a great deal of th'1 time of the municipal court, criminal crimin-al division, this morning. Mr. Slckler was charged with disturbing dis-turbing the peace May l Ot h. by uslii? bad language and striking V. G. Sailer. The testimony demonstrate! the fact that tho two men are neighbors neigh-bors and that the complainant had ha I trouble with children of tbe neighbor hood, who persisted In trespassing on his premises, among ihem being chl) !-ten !-ten of the defendant, and that wh"it the two men came together for a set tlement of the differences, harsh words ensued, loud talk was entered into and a fight was barely averted. After hearing the testimony, th' court stated that tbe matter wujiM be tuken under a d visenxnt until 1 -morrow morning, and, in the meantime, mean-time, an effort would be niado on th part of the court to "read a few of Solomon's proverbs." The judge remarked re-marked that It neorned to be an unfortunate un-fortunate neighborhood quarrel that "might have been avoided, had enrii party been willing to go half way.' |
