The m-'St exciting event In local athletics this spring Is set for Thursday Thurs-day afternoon as 3 o'clock, at the Fair grounds, when Ogden High school and the Weber Academy clash in a dual track meet. The teams are evenh matched and in perfect physical condition. Hotii coaches claim the victory, and the students of the contending schools arc nt a while heat of enthusiasm. At first it was suggested that Brig-ham Brig-ham City be Included In the meet, but the desire of the local schools to sel-tl sel-tl the question of athletic superiority superior-ity was so strong that the contestants were reduced to two. Weber Is sure of two firsts, th quarter mile and the broad Jump, th'" latter event being i sure win for Roberts, Rob-erts, one of the best quarter inilers in the state. Allen of the High school, who now holds the state record in the pob? vault, will meet little opposition in that event, and Moran looks like a winner in the 100-yard dash The other events are doubtful, and tho meet will probably bo w on by I he tcores of second and third places. A conference of the coaches will be held this afternoon and details of the nuct will be arranged the order of events probably will be the same a the state meet.
