Show ! MARTHA SOCIETY. The Martha socletv held their an-j an-j mial meeting yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. I L. Reynolds. Reports of the vear's work were were submitted and officers for the ensuing year were elected. The books of the organization show that between $Snn .i,,d $900 had been raised by tho society during the past year, and that nearly ?fino has been disbursed for the good of the poor in Ogden City, and that a number of deserving families are On the society's list, who will receive re-ceive help from that body at interval as needed. The report of (.he officers was very gratifying, and plans for future fu-ture work on a larger scale were discussed dis-cussed by the members Officers for the ensuing jear are: Mrs. H. H. Spencer, president Mrs. Abe Kuhn. first vice-president Mrs. J. S. Lewis, second vice-president. Mrs. A. P. Mlbbs, secretary j Mrs E. M. Conroy, treasurer I Mrs. E M .Mattson, corresponding I sec rotary Mrs. Hugh C. Wood was elected as a member of the society to fill ...e vacancy va-cancy caused by the departure of one of the ladies, who will m?ke her future fu-ture home In another state. The society consists of twenty-live j ladies, and new members are elerted j only when a vacancy by resignation or ' otherwise occurs. Delicious refreshments, most charmingly charm-ingly served, closed this most important import-ant session of the jear. |
