Eddy has been sent to th'i I'nllcan stales, where he will havn great work to do for the United States. He is to succeed in Argentine by Huntington Wilson of Illinois, who goes as envoy extraordinary and minister min-ister plenipotentiary. Mr. Wilson is a son of Ben M. WP-pou WP-pou of Chicago, and Is 33 years old, having graduated with the Yale class of 1S97. He was appointed second fecretary of Tokio In that year, and was promoted, to first secretary on October 11, 1900 When the legation vjia raised In rank he became secretary secre-tary of the. embassy. He was appointed appoint-ed as third assistant secretary of btato in June, 1906. Mr. Wilson was married lo Mlsi Lucy Jarne6 of St. Louis, Mo., tho wedding having taken place in Baltimore, Balti-more, Md. He was commissioned D-cember D-cember 17 as the new minister to the Balkan states, but the appointment appoint-ment subsequently was transferred to Argentine to permit Mr. Eddy to secure se-cure the European berth. |
