Show LARGE PARTY LEAVE FOR PARK CITY GUESTS OF SUPT. WHITNEY ARE EQUIPPED FOR GOOD TIME. WilMak- Brief Stop at Morgan, Devil's Slide and Echo and Then Move on to Mining Camps. A special train of four cars. Including Includ-ing a diner, day coach and a private car, rolled out from the Union depot for Park City this morning, bavins on board Superintendent W. A. Whitney of the Utah division of the Union Pacific and about forty of the latter'a guests. The party was composed of Mayor Brewer, all members of the Ogden city council, the heads of various var-ious departments of the city government, govern-ment, the board of commissioners of Weber county and a number of Mr. Whitney's personal friends, including Dr. Joyce. Parley L. Williams. W. H. Chevera, P. H. Conk, Fred Gentsch. Resident Engineer A. Q. Campbell, Editor Ed-itor Frank Francis of the Standard. President Haywood of the Commercial National bank and several newspaper men and prominent citizens of Ogden. The trip to Park City Includes stops at Morgan. Devil's Slide and Echo and when the famou mining camp is reached the visitors will be taken through the underground workings of the more prominent mines and then I given a key to the city and all It contains. con-tains. The dining car Is elaborately supplied sup-plied -with everything necessary for the entertainment of the excursionists and a royal good time is scheduled for everyone on board the special. Including Includ-ing the trainmen in charge. The party will return to Ogden this evening, or rather tonight, sometime, as the distance to Park City Is OS miles, and stops at Morgan. Devil's Slide and Echo will absorb considerable consider-able time, outside of that required to climb high up in the Wasatch range. Superintendent Whitney has surrounded sur-rounded himself with a number of able-bodied assistants, who will devote de-vote their best efforts to aid In entertaining en-tertaining his guests, and as a result a most enjoyable time Is anticipated by everyone on the special. |
