A. Langwith, with the promise that large mines of gold milling ore will be opened there. "A. P. S. Mac Qucsten of Salt Lako has a large foice of men at work penetrating pen-etrating the hill with tunnels and a deep shaft," said Mr. Langwith. "A ledgo 20 feet wide was struck a few days ago In tho long tunnel and the ore in this big vein will all pay to mill, the values being mostly in gold, "The tunnel was started at the foot of the mountain, and the finding of this large body of ore proves that the immense structure that was cut by leasers on top of the bill goes to great depth. "The mill has been operated steadily ever since Mr. MacQuesten acquired control of the property, several months ago, and regular shipments of bullion have been made to the mint. The first lot of ore milled comprised COO tons taken out by leasers from shafts sunk on the vein. "Since work was started ore has been encountered in the two tunnels, which are being driven into the hill from points 1,000 feet apart, besides which are the large ore reserves disclosed dis-closed in the two shafts. The hoist ha been started on the deeper shaft, which is being pushed downward to connect with the long tunnel. When this connection Is made the ore will be all taken out from the timnti level. "In the Adelaide portion of the district, dis-trict, in what is commonly known as Gold Run basin, much activity is shown. A. Siesenop, who has been doing do-ing extensive development on his Ger- ' trudo claim, has a big showing of ga-Itua ga-Itua ore. it io etimati Mm Jj'V.tuo |
