Base hits off: BUTTING RALLY BEATS ARTHUR Copper Players Annex 10 to 7 Tilt from League Leaders, When Keough Weakens in the Eighth. Vaughn Christensen and his frisky Copper colts took the league-leading Arthur team to a cleaning at Garfield Sunday afternoon to the tune of 10 to 7, when "Lefty" Keough weakened in the eighth inning and allowed the Miners to spike the rubber four times. It was the first league game the Copper team has won away from home this year. Dunn started for the Copper team but gave way in the fifth to Greshner when the Arthur lads took kindly to his offerings. Greshner held the enemy safe from then on, and gets credit for the victory. vic-tory. The outstanding feature of the game was the brilliant playing of "Neph" Dowdell for the Copper team. The clever lad made several wonderful wonder-ful stops, and hit the ball hard, driving driv-ing in six runs with his three hits. Jack Baty also hit the ball hard, while Osborne, Webb and Flint did the heavy club work for. the home team.
