O., are closely watching watch-ing the rebuilding and restoring tf I 'on Ticondercga in the hope of ie-covering ie-covering a largo fortune in gold and valuable property, which they believo was buried by a relative of the heirs who fought through the Revolutionary war. The old fort is being restored under the direction of Mrs. Stephen II. P. Tell and the expense Is being l.orno by her father. Colonel Robert M. Thompson, both of New York City. Since the work was begun, the nine Cleveland men have been constantly about the fort, and have closely observed ob-served all the excavatlonsvblch have been made. They have a" map and a secret code of directions which they say was loft by their relative as a guide to the spot where the treasure was buried. |
