Miss Ethel Watkins, who received a compound fracture of the arm more than seven weeks ago, is greatly im-proved according to reports from St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, and will be removed to her home in Markham in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Myers and fam-ily spent Monday of this week at the fair. La Marr Marriott spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marriott. Following a proposed plan to have dances' on Saturday of each week, manager Joe Delaney of the Bingham Canyon Hall announces a real carni-val dance for tomorrow (Saturday) evening, with the Paramount orches-tra in attendance. For each Saturday evening following, Manager Delaney announces some of the best dances of the year. Members of the Auto Mechanics journeyed to the Fair Wednesday of this week under the guidance of Jesse Woodhouse. The first social event of the fac-ulty of the Bingham Canyon schools was a theatre party at the Princess Thursday evening of this week. ALL IN READINESS FOR COLUMBUS DAY The stage is set and all is in read-iness for the monster Columbus Day Celebration, which will start Monday morning of next week with a huge parade, followed by public speaking, with Mayor Fred Straup giving the principal address, at 11 o'clock. Races for the kiddies will be run starting at one o'clock, after a free matinee will be given at the Princess Theatre at the showing of Quo Vadis, a picture made in Italy. A large dance will be held at Canyon Hall in the evening with the famous Ariel orchestra in attendance, and those who have at-tended these Columbus Day dances know what a good time is in store for those who enjoy a good time. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Iris Allen, who saved the life of Frances Frazier three weeks ago when a radiator fell, returned to her home on Main street Wednesday of this week after being a patient at St. Mark's Hospital suffering from a compound fracture of the leg.
