Show CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT NO. 2 Proposing to Amend Sections 2 and, 3, Article XIII, of the Constitution Constitu-tion of Utah Relating to Property Subject to Taxation and Rates of Tax A rolntlon proposing amendment tn SocOons 2 and 3, Article LT, of tbe Cacstltution of the Stata of TTtah relating re-lating to property subject tn taxation and rates of tax.. Be It resolved ly the Legislature of tho State of Utnh, two-thirds of al! the members elected to each bouiQ concurring therein : Section 1. That it is proposed to amend Sections 2 and H, of Article 13 of the Constitution of the State of Utah, so that such sections will read as follows: So-. 2- To the end that the burden of taxation may bo equltablo upon all property, tho legislature Is empewored to dlvido all property Including mnn m and credits as well as physical : property, into classes and to detor-nine detor-nine what class or classes of proper- j ty shall be stfeject to taxation and what property, If any, shall not bo 1 object to taxation. Taxes shall bo uniform op on all property of the same otass aad shall ba levied and collected collect-ed for public porposes only. Taxes may be Imposed npon any and all property, Including privileges, franchises fran-chises and licenses to do business in the state, bnt this shall not be so con-trosd con-trosd as to authorize the taxation of the stocks of any company or corporation corpora-tion when the property of such company com-pany or corporation represented by Bitch stocks has boon taxed.
