Show SEOAN STOLEN; FIRED BY THIEF W. H. Hadlock Walks Into Police Station to Hear Bad News When W. H Hadlock of tbe gd-n State hank walked Into police headquarters head-quarters to report the theft of hi new Kord ec-dan from the Intersection of Iake street and Washington avenue, last night he was startled to discover discov-er that the machine had been destroyed de-stroyed by fire. While he was at th.' station a report re-port was received by Sergeant C. E Noble to the effect that Fori) sedan se-dan car, was burning on West Twentieth Twen-tieth street near the oulhern Pacific lirldge I The fire department wa summoned but the machine was a practical loss when they arrived. The theft was investigated by Ser-g.mt Ser-g.mt Noble and Detective BSd Cutter-field, Cutter-field, and Deputy Sheriff Fred Tout.; From evidence found at the car It Is believed that the thieves had stolen) the cor for the purpose of stripping It of all Its parts ant accessories and that while attempting to remove thei carburetor which was found hanging I they had struck a match which caused' the gJ3 to Ignite .'o i iuet were found that would aid I Ir. determining who the thieves are. |
