Ed ("Pop") Geers, the "Grand Old Man the Harness Turf,' has reached Korth Randall from his Memphis training quarters to put on the finishing finish-ing touches for the l'i22 Grand Ctr-. Ctr-. uit campaign which begins at North Randall July 3. Aged 71. Geers s the oldest driver on thp Grand Circuit. Cir-cuit. Halo and hearty he also trains hi' ow n horses. "Pop" has virtually a new stable I his year, all but two being trotters. Familiar to Grand Circuit fans are his Sanardo, Peter June and Utah, i Peter June, with a mark of 2 04H i Is his leading trotter. Geers declared he expects to be seen on the Grand Circuit at least 1 O t it i-e 1 e.o pg The arrival of his 6t-ible brings the I total horses now at Ilandall up to 470. The stables of Walter Cox, Lon McDonald and several other prominent promi-nent drivers are still to come.
