The already crowded calendar in the house of representatives yesterday was jammed with forty-four additional measures The.s, were added to the third reading read-ing calendar. With thirty-five bills on tho calendar when the session was called to order, two on the table and two on tho Special order calendar, and only one bill disposed of during the session, t'm-re now remains .1 total of eighty-two bllstStfor action today. SIFTING OMM3 FTEE The shadow of the sifting committee commit-tee made Its appearance yesterday morning and virtually every standing committee that had bill in possession posses-sion worked from early in Ihe morning morn-ing until 1' o'clock, when the house was called to order When the roll had been called ami the chaplain had delivered the daily Invocation a motion mo-tion was made that no other business i bo iranaaoted until reports of stand-1 Ing committees imd been disposed of. i LIST S CO REPORTS The motion prevailed and the house worked for inuro than two hours li--lening to committee reports and adding add-ing bills to the calendar.
