Show UNIONS BACK IIP iWSPUN Kesclution Offers Support to City Light Plant Bond Issue Support and assistance in the mat-iter mat-iter of carrying the coming municipal i bond issue to bucccbs in order that Ogdnn may establish and operate a municipal electric light, heat and power pow-er plant has been offered Mayor Frank Francis by the Ugden Trades and La-bor La-bor aH-Sembly in a resolution unanimously unani-mously adopted at a meeting of the assembly. In a letter accompanying the resolution the assembly officers declare they are certain the bond Issue Is-sue for the plant can bo "put across" Tho resolution, which is self-explanatory, follows: "Whereas. It has been announced that the mayor of our city has opened open-ed a cimpalgn for the establishment of a municipally owned light, heat and power plant, and, hereaa. tho natural advantages at onr very door will permit of its being accomplished at minimum cost, and "Whereas, the necessity of such a plant is so plainly evident that there should be no hesitancy on the pari of tho taxpayers to vote bonds for the purpose, and, "Whereas, municipal ownership is no longer an experiment, but wherever honestly tried has proven a success In better and cheaper service. "Therefore, Be it resolved, that the Ogden Trades and Labor assembly hereby promises to render any assistance assist-ance within its power In all honest, non-polltlcal efforts to bring about the accomplishment of the light, heat and power plant, and be It further ' Resolved.
