He (raj educated In the public schools and was graduated by the University of Ota.ll Always Interested in educational educa-tional work hedld much to raise thfi educational standards of the county. For a number of years he MXVad as a leacher In the Weber count;- schools Mr Cragun was a faithful Latter Day Saint and served as a mlaalonary in the southern states in 1S83-85. He was superintendent of the Pleasant View Sunday schools for 10 years and for several years was a member of the Weber stake high council, resigning from that office about a year ago owing ow-ing to 111 health. He was greatly Interested In-terested In all civic problems and was a member of the L'tah state fair board, as a director of horticulture for 1 4 years, With his brother, Wilson Cragun. he established the firm of Cragun Brothers Produce company, for many years one of the leading commission houses In this city and county In 1894 he married Joanna D. Seaman by whom lie is survived with two children, John and Lucy CragUD Two brothers Wilson and Wilbert Cragun also surv ive, oo I il |
