The rule as it is now worded prevents pre-vents any player in either of the team that engages in the big series from barnstorming. A team is always I liable to be defeated, nnd to have a world champion team knocked off by some small town club certainly 1 wouldn't add any pre stige to the event However, it seems unfair to say that an individual cannot tako part in h I ball game after the series is over. It is practically assured that the rule will be changed. It will still prohibit the teams from playing, but will ghe the Individual that right If he so de- American league club owners are hopeful that such a change will give Judge Landls a loophole for easing up on the Ruth sentence. Under the con diiions there was uothing left for the judge to do other than Inflict a se-vere se-vere penalty. He did. Now if the magnates say the rule was all wrong. it will give the judge a chance to take a similar view of the penalty inflicted. |
