Show FUNERAL HELD FOR WILLIAM W. RITER salt lake. Jan. 20. Funeral services for William W. Rlter. finan- ler and leader in educational affair.'', were held yesterday afternoon at the A lembly hall. Mr. Ititer died last Monday morning after an illness extending ex-tending over two months, closing a business and civic career that began in Salt Lake three score years axo. President Hcber J. Grant, his two counselors, Charles YV. Penrose and Anthony " vine of the Mormon Church, a large number of the quorum quo-rum of the twelve and other high officials of the church were present, as were leading representatives Of the faculty and board of regents of the University of Utah, Mr Jtiter .s halrman of the university regents at the time of hts death and for a long series of years previously. The pallbearers were Frank U. Snow and James H. Moyle, representing represent-ing the quorum of seventies of tho Mormon church: Charles S Burton, vice president of tho T'tah State National Na-tional bank, and K . Smith, cashier of the Deseret Savings bank, Ernest Bamberger and Warren L. Wattis. representing the hoard of regents of the UnlverSit) of Utah; O W Adams and M. S. Browning, of Ogden. representing rep-resenting the Ogden hanks. |
