| Show UTAH VINEGAR WORKS opening of frank terN new factory it will be remembered that on thead the of april last the utah vin vi egar works were reduced to ashes totally destroyed by fire the origin of orthis this conflagration remains rem ainsa a even until the present day and the matter lias has now passed pawed into ogden history new buildings havo have been erected and tile utah vinegar works arc are again an all existing fact notwithstanding the loss sustained by mr frank kother rother and his partner the former gentleman who lias has evinced indomitable energy and perseverance 13 is again prepared to supply first class CL vinegar to any amount tile new works arc are constructed of fireproof fire proof brick comprising five rooms as follows in the basement are the reservoir feet the cooler feet and the coal room feet in the upper part of tho the structure arc are an arched generating room feet the mash room feet and the engine feet the erection of the buildings was commenced on alic ast 1st of alio theares present month and will shortly be completed the engine manufactured by hall co is 16 horse power the boiler made by ames co is a 30 horse power the engine has recently been put ut in motion and tested under a pressure of pounds hydrometer by mr quinn master mechanic of the U P RR R R evanston mr ephraim tillotson of ogden superintended super intended the setting up atthe ot alie machinery this me morning rill ing a number of gentlemen of this city met on oft the premises to celebrate the inauguration of tho the NEW UTAH VINEGAR WORKS at 16 15 minutes to 11 mr james horrocks let loose the valve turned on the steam stearns and set the new works in motion when three hearty cheers were given for the success of the enterprise three cheers were also I so given iven for the ogden HERALD and tai three red more for enterprise A congratulatory address was delivered by mr horrocks arid and responded to in a very few appropriate remarks by the proprietor of the new work wor ks the cost of the new building will be about 1250 in III the past the vinegar works have manufactured about worth annually but in the future the proprietor sa says ho lie willburn will turn outsole out some wor worth as wo we hail bail with pleasure the rees re c es j this home indi industry alry which has our hearty good god wishes for its success si and hope that many others will ere long oil 91 follow follo in its wake |
