They art- most frequently seen symmetrical j ly distributed on those parts of the body ordinarily exposed to the light and heat ol the sun. and to atmoc I pheric influences, such as the face thej neck, and the backs of the hands in' persons of both sexes in some persons, per-sons, freckles may be seen on parts not thus exposed, a fact which indicates indi-cates that they are not always the re suit of the agencies noted above It is, probable that there is always a con-! genital predisposition to pigment form ' ations, such as freckles, that require ' certain external conditions for devel- j opment.
