Show PORTER FOUND GUILTY OF PETIT LSRCEI GNE5 SIR BAIL Basset Burton, colored, a porter on the Union Pacific railroad, was found guilty in city court this morning by a jury, of petit larceny and is released from custody on $100 bond. Sentence will be pronounced toy Judge Roberts tomorrow morning. Burton was arrested on complaint of Roman Thaller who said that ho had journeyed from Rock Springs, on the train on which Burton was a porter and that on arrival in Ogden on the night of March 2G he put his grip on the back of an express wagon from Avhich it was stolen by the colored man. James Gray, Anton Nocker and Earl Burton testified they saw the colored col-ored man approach tho wagon and tako the grip. |
