Show uu Idaho Asks Exchange Stale School lands John D. Jones, land authority for the forest service, returned yesterday from Boise, Idaho, where he conferred with Governor D. W- Davis regarding the exchange of separated parcels of state school lands for a compact body of the national forest. About 1S4.000 acres of state school land is Involved in the deal. As this acreage is scattered, scat-tered, and is largely bounded by forest for-est service holdings, the trading of the land is desirable for the state. Governor Gover-nor Davis has departed for Washington Washing-ton to perfect the arrangements, it is stated. I. H. Nash, state land commissioner, has been authorized to begin detailed Investigation. It is probable that the collection of data necessary before the change can be effected, will take two years. I - ' HI -I I ... I Ml |
