HfiPPY EVERT Crooks kindly acquiesced to the request re-quest that they suspend activities last night, and without a single marring disturbance, the Poycemen's ball, held . last evening at the Berthana, proved one of the most successful affairs of its kind ever held. There was a large attendance at the dance and while there was not an overwhelming crowd, such as Impedes progress on the floor, scores of people were sitting through the dances and watching the crowd In the center of the hall trip to the syncopated strains of the Jazz orchestra. The dance committee consisted of Riohara Norris, Fred M. Tout; floor committee, George B. Wardlaw, Charles Plncock, E. Noble, Tom Burk, Earl Wiggins, A. M. Edwards and Ed Butterfield. |
