To 'H made the preparation tasteful to tho , rodents, nine ounces of saccharine, 3D jH pounds of Karo syrup, three pounds of LL starch, six packages of soda and, as a jH "chaser." 55 ounces of strychnine was tH added to the mixture. ' jH The "dope" was prepared by W. P. jH Thomas of the local farm bureau; C. 'H E. Pettigrew, county crop Inspector; B. . B. Richards of the biological survey, LM and A. E. Taylor, county club leader. LL Mr. Thomas sa'id that the mixture ap- peals to ground squirrels and when jH eaten by them, generally is their last jH repast.
