Show LANDIE HOLDS MEN FOR ALLEGED j BEER SMUGGLING I CHICAGO. Sept. 22. Judge Landls tolday held fourteen men. one of ihem a state senator, to the grand jury in his ' investigation of alleged beer smuggling from Wisconsin into Illinois. State Senator Patrick J. Carroll was held when he declined to reply to ques-tions ques-tions by the judge.
