Show NEW ASPECT TO MEXICAN TROUBLE. A private telegram to The Standard from New York indicates the possibility of a big cleaning-up movement by the United States in the j northern part of Mexico. There is an organization known as the "National Association for the Protection of American Rights in Mexico," and the officers of that association as-sociation openly state that Mexico will be the headquarters for Ger-I Ger-I many's next world war. They further give the names of a large num- i bcr of Germans in Mexico who are there for military purposes, and, to our surprise, they state that one object of the present expedition into Mexico is to capture certain Germans who are known to be fomenting fo-menting trouble on the border. With this information before us, we begin to realize how essential :t is that the combing process now under way across the border be thor-j thor-j ough. No quarters should be given to Germans who are known to have instigated raids on American homes or to have stirred up anti-I anti-I .American hatreds among the Mexicans. |
