Show DENTISTS TO ROLD CONVENTION OF ! WEEK DORATION Closing the first day of the convert tion of the Utah Dental association which is being held at the Hermitage hotel, a banquet and dance was given last evening. Nearly 125 members of the association asso-ciation attended the affair. The toast-master toast-master at the banquet was Dr. Harry Davis of Salt Lake who introduced the speakers of the evening. Dr. F. Ew-ing-Roach of Chicago. Dr. W. H. Petty. Dr. C A FurlOW of Chicago. Dr. Joseph Jo-seph L. Smith of Denver were the speakers In his address Dr. Roach urged the members to hold a six day convention in the future instead of a three day convention, in which post graduate work could be discussed. This suggestion sug-gestion met. with the approval of the state dentists and the six-day convention conven-tion will be hold next year at a place yot to be decided Music for the dance which followed the banquet was furnished b the Lillian Lil-lian Thatcher orchestra, while Miss Mildred Ware sang. This morning the convention was continued by lectures and clmies by the visiting dentists from outside Btates "Latest Developments of Modern Mod-ern Dentistry" was the subject and each point was demonstrated. Following is the program for today: Lecture No 3 "The Fundamental principles of Clasp Dental Construction, Con-struction, with Special Reference to Cast Clasps" Dr. F. Ewlng Roach At 10:30 o'clock, a clinic, conducted by Dr. Roach. Dr. Smith and Dr. Squires will be held Lecture No. 2, "A Plea for the Conservation Con-servation of the Vitality and Structure of Teeth," Dr Joseph L. Smith. Clinic at 3 o'clock, at which the I same doctors who have charge of the I first clinic will officiate. At 8 o'clock this evening, Dr. R. E. ' Wright formerly of the oral surgery department In the army medical corps, who spent several months in large English hospitals, will deliver an address ad-dress on the subject, "War Surgery as Applied to Dentistry. ' Tomorrow, the last day of the convention, con-vention, the lectures and clinics will be continued, and the convention will be brought to a close by the election of officers. |
