Show DOUBT CAST UPON REPORT OF DEATH POOATELLO, Idaho, Aug. 8 There is some doubt attached to tho report that Victor L. Lawhead of Pocatello was killed Jn action Jn France, as reported re-ported In the casualty list Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs, James M, Sweltzer, mother moth-er of the young mah, received a message mes-sage this morning from Major General Commandant George Barnett at Washington Wash-ington stating that Privato Victor J, Lawhead, marino corp3, was severely wounded in action July 19. No further fur-ther details were available. Victor J. Lawhead is the only son of Mrs. Jamos M. Sweltzer, 1039 North Grant avenue. He was 23 years of age last December and cnllste'd In tho marine corps at tho local recruiting office on May 30, 1917. He complet- ' ed his military training at Mare Islifci and was sent to Franco on Febnurr 8, 1918.
