Show David W. Griffith Received by King 1 George in London . When David Wark Griffith, the famous fa-mous producer of "Tho Birth of a Na-tion.'' Na-tion.'' "Intolerance." and "Hearts of the World." was in England "shooting" "shoot-ing" scones of the latter picture, he was prevented by reason of his duties as producer, from obeying the "command" "com-mand" of King George to attend him at Buckingham palace. Later, however, Mr. Griffith ap-prarr-d berore the King and Queen Mary and. was graciously roceived. The kin? complimented Mr. Griffith upou bis production of "Intolerance" which the monarch had seen and assured him of his ready eo-operation in any picture pic-ture production dealing with the war and British wnr time activities which he might project. It thus happens that in "The Great Love." Mr. Griffith's remarkable photoplay pho-toplay which will be shown at the AN hambra theater for four days commencing com-mencing tomorrow, many of the most illustrous women of the British aristocracy aris-tocracy are pictured. In this respect, independent of every other consideration, considera-tion, this picture is one of the most remarkable over presented to the pub-lie. |
