Show Chicago Quotations CHICAGO, Nov. 12. Corn prices developed considerable strength today, reflecting the upward tendency of the New York stock market. Besides, weather conditions handicapped the bears. The outlook was for much unwelcome un-welcome moisture and for an absence of seasonable cold temperatures. Opening Open-ing quotations, which ranged from &c to lc higher, with December $1.19 to $1.20 and May $1.14 to $1.15. were followed by a moderate reaction from the top side of the initial range. Oats hardened in value as a result of lightness of rural offerings. Country Coun-try dealers complained of car scarcity. Lower quotations on hogs had only a temporary weakening effect on provisions. The market soon took an upward swing, impelled by grain strength. A rally In the hog market gave further fur-ther strength later to provisions. Sympathy with a sharp advance in the- value of oats counted later as an element of strength in the corn market. The close was unsettled, 1 to 2c net higher with December at $1.20 and May at $1.15. CHICAGO HOG MARKET. CHICAGO. Nov. 12. Liberal receipts weakened the hog market today, but prices rallied when tho fact developed that the number of arrivals, although large, had been over-estimated to a material ma-terial extent. Cattle and sheep were not so plentiful as had been expected. expect-ed. CHICAGO, Nov. 12.
