Lindsay. charged with a statutory offenso in connection with the case of Miss El- berta Phelps of Garland, who died at the State Mental hospital at Provo on IH August 31, was found guilty by a jury in the district court here this evening. f Sentence will be passed Saturday lH morning at 10 o'clock. fl Evidence presented the past ' two days showed conclusively, it is said, fl that no blame could be attached to fl C. F. Fayo and George Reeder of Og- IH den, mentioned in connection with the Tho conviction resulted as an out-' come of a trip" Lindsay and a com-panion, com-panion, A. A. Brandon, were alleged to have made to Salt Lake with Miss 1 Phelps and Miss Vivian BowcutL Fol-lowing Fol-lowing her return to Garland, Miss Phelps suffered from a gravo nervous disorder which resulted in her being declared insane and committed to the r state mental hospital, at which placo she died two days later. She was buried at Payson. |
