Show TEAGHERS SERVING TO LESSEN LOCAL - DISTRESS The board of education office has been busy during the enforced vacation, vaca-tion, placing teachers as nurses and helpers in homes and hospitals where, on investigation, they found the need desperate. So many calls came to the superintendent yesterday and today, that Miss Mi'ldren Barton of the Central Cen-tral school began a survey of the work being done by each teacher, to see if anv more are available for the extra calls. Several parlies calling last-evening and this morning were so needy of help that a special effort was started to secure teachers. Reports at the superintendent's office of-fice Indicate that many teachers have rendered excellent servico in caring for the sick through nursing, cooking, sewing and doing general house work. If any teachers are not fully occupied, occup-ied, they will find excellent, opportunity opportun-ity for service if they will notify tho superintendent's office. A number of tho instructors from Weber college have also been assisting. assist-ing. on |
