Show IRSES ARE WANTED TONIGHT THE OFFICIALS In an interview with the Rev. John Edward Carver of the local chapter of the Red Cross so'clety. Mr. Carver said that it would be imposible-adequately to toll tho story of the wonderful work that has been accomplished in coming to the aid of many homes stricken by the plague of Spanish influenza by tho school teachers of the city of Ogden. Late last night, said Mr, Carver, he had occasion to get the help of two teachers who willingly went cut to take care, of a family where saven of the members lie sick of this malady. Willingly and in good spirit the teach-ers teach-ers went forth, and they indicated what has been a widespread spirit of able service in which they have been heartily encouraged by Superintendent H. C. Johnson. There are at present known to the Red Cross six homes whero nurses will be needed tonlghL It is not necessary neces-sary that the helpers should be trained train-ed nurses, but that th6y should know how to take care of the patients and administer the medicine needed. Any persons desirous to help should telephone tele-phone the local office of the Red Cross up to 5 p. m , and after that hour telephone the home of Rev. J. E. Carver, Car-ver, No. 789, and a car will be sent to convey the helpers lo the homes of the sick. |
