Show HURTS PROVE FATAL i TO MIDVAL'E YOUTH ; SALT LAKE, Dec. 23. Succumbing to injuries received in a steam cell ex- ploBion nt the factory of the Utah- Idaho Sugar company at Midvale late Sunday night, LeGrande Winger, IS-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Winger, 811 Weat First South street, died In a local hospital early yesterday morning. The boy had been employed at the factory for about a month and was expecting ex-pecting To return to school at the B. j Y. university at Provo shortly after the first of the year. Officials of the company com-pany assert that the boy failed to shut the steam as ordered before releasing tho lock on the cell door, with the result re-sult that tbe cell door burst open, covering cov-ering him with live steam and scalding scald-ing him from head to foot. He "was brougW- to the hospital by Dr. J. S. Alley of Midvale, but died five hours later. |
