Show ICE CREAM TO BE OF TUBE IDS Restriction In varieties of ice cream manufactured to three and confining the use of flavoring extracts to ten kinds Is requested in a circular sent out yesterday by W. F. Jensen, commissioner com-missioner of commercial economy, to all dealers in these commodities. It Is calculated that general observance of the rules promulgated in this respect will result in great saving in the aggregate. ag-gregate. The communication follows: "As a part of the general conservation conserva-tion plan and because of the further necessity for economic reduction in tho use of unnecessary products this board asks you as a patriotic measure mea-sure to limit the manufacture of ice creams to three standard brands, namely, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. straw-berry. "This board further asks you to use only ten standard syrups in the ordinary ordi-nary conduct of your business. There would be no harm in your intermingling interming-ling any of these standards to attain other special flavors, so long as the ten basic standards aro not exceeded. Those standards are vanilla, lemon, strawberry, chocolate, raspberry, pineapple, pine-apple, root beer orange, cherry and Coca-Cola. "Wagons and trucks devoted to the wholesale delivery of Ice creams and soft drinks must leave their respective respec-tive distributing centers on the last trip, or for special deliveries not later than 6 p. m. dally." 1 nn |
