Show GENERAL STRIKE ON INJINLAND New Agitation Blocking All Civil Functions Urgent Appeal Sent Lloyd-George. LONDON. Nov. 23 Another general strike has been declared in Finland, according to a Router dispatch dated at Holsingfore Wednesday. It is blocking block-ing all civil functions and was called for the object of compelling the substitution sub-stitution of the diet dissolved in July, which' had a Socialist majority, for the existing diet where the Socialists are in the minority. Minor fighting is reported re-ported in various parts of the country. Former Senator von Wendt, member mem-ber of an old Finnish family, the dispatch dis-patch adds, haB telegraphed an urgent appeal to Premier Lloyd George and President Wilson to allow the passage of American wheat cargoes to Narvik. Otherwise, he says, a catastrophe is unavoidable. oo |
