Tho Elkhorn Oil company has declared a dividend of 1 per cent quarterly, payable on .May 1 to all shareholders of record on the books of the company on April 15. Wind River Petroleum Well No. 3 is now down about 2500 foot and tho company expects to reach the oil sand within a few days. This compnny already al-ready has two producing wells. No. 1 being good for 100 barrels per day and No. 4 approximately 200 barrels. They are now working on casing for the deep well No. 2. Tho company is keeping three drilling rigs at work, and as soon as one well Is completed the rig is moved over to another location, loca-tion, so that actlvo operations are continually con-tinually carried on. This is a progressive progres-sive company and thoir stock at present pres-ent is well worth buying. Wind River Refining The company has recently bought material In California, Cali-fornia, which they will have delivered to Lander as quipkly as possible and with the stills already purchased, this will give the refinery a capacity of 1000 barrels daily. Lone Star Well No. S Is down about 900 feot and expects to bring in a well any day. Dividend warrants for tho first quarter havo already been mailed. A further quarterly dividend of 6 per cent will be paid to all shareholders of record on the books of the company 4m May 31. Clients who have not received receiv-ed their dividend warrants should advise ad-vise us promptly. Big Bear We understand there Js 2500 feet of Si inch casing on the way to the company's well in the Big Muddy. Mud-dy. Just as soon as this is received drilling will be resumed. The Big Bear ' company have we understood acquired an additional G40 acres in tho Big Muddy and 320 acres in the Thornton-Upton Thornton-Upton field, Wyoming. Rex Petroleum company This company com-pany has now brought, in their No. 2 well, with an estimated initial production produc-tion of 50 barrels. No. 3 woll was spudded In on tho 20th hist. Big Five Oil company Tho Western Oil Fields corporation brought in a well on the 19th inst., with an estimated estimat-ed daily production of over 5000 barrels. bar-rels. The Big Five Oil company owns approximately one-sixth of the outstanding out-standing stock of tho Western Oil Fiolds corporation, and also havo extensive ex-tensive holdings In the Immediate vicinity, vi-cinity, which they own outright. KInnoy Oil &. Refining company's well No. 13, section -i of the Big Muddy Mud-dy field, came with a rush on the morning of tho 22nd exactly on scheduled sched-uled dato. Tho Wall Creek Sand was encountered 2295 feet, after the drills had gono into the sand 14 feet, oil commenced to How over the casing top. This is the first instance in tho J history of tho Big Muddy field a Wall Creek Sand well has lowed at less than 20 feet into the sand. Kinney Officials Of-ficials on the ground say that well No. 13 will bo good for over 1000 barrels or more. This well is the shallowest Wall Creek Sand well yet open In the Big Muddy. Drilling has been temporarily tempor-arily suspended while tho boiler are being moved 200 feet further back to a point of safety. The increasing gas pressure made this move necessary Midwest Refining company's well on the Parker lease, section 11, Big Muddy Mud-dy field, which came in on tho 15th inst broke loose on the following Sunday Sun-day and shot oil over the top of the derrick. The action of tho well, which is only one foot In tho pay sand, leads its drillers to believe that it will yet prove the eastern part of the Big Muddy field to be its bonanza portion. Drilling deeper into tho sand will be commenced at once. Riverton Wyoming Refining What is claimed to be the biggest rig shipped ship-ped to Freemont county is being unloaded un-loaded at Riverton and will be set up on tho Jessie Madison 40, situated about two miles from that town. It is planned to spud for a big well in the Riverton bawin as soon as a derrick can be erected and tho tools hung. This rig, it is said, is capable of drilling four to fivo thousand feet and there Is nearly half a mile of cable with 11. Western Exploration The unexpected unex-pected breaking of a sprocket wheol at the woll. which tho Western Exploration Ex-ploration company Is drilling on tho Boo lease, prevented the drillers from bringing In another woll last week. This well is reported to be ncaring the oil bearing sands and will probably bo numbered among the producers of tho Lander district before another week. Okmulglc Producing & Refining company declared Its regular quarterly quarter-ly dividend of 2V6 per cent and an extra of 5 per cent on tho 20th inst. A 3 per cent extra was paid in the last quarter. Caspcr-Embar which has been persistently per-sistently tobogganing for tho last three months today sold as low as -"Jlc per share.
