In seven cases silver medals wcro ; awarded; in seventoen cases bronzo medals. Ten of the heroes lost their lives, and to tho dependents of nina of these pensions aggregating $4560 a year were granted. In addition to' theso money grants. In two cases 52100 was appropriated for educational pur- f poses, payments to bo made as needed ' and approvod; and In cloven caseg ! awards aggregating $8000 wore made for other worthy purposes.
