Show . oo i PAUPER BURIAL FOR DEAD MM Although the $15 mailed to the sheriff sher-iff is llttlo more than undertakers re-coivo re-coivo for a pauper burial, tho body of Miss Gertrude Topfer, tho Swiss woman, wom-an, who committed suicide in tho city cemetery last Thursday, does not rest in tho potter's field. Following the funeral services in tho Lindquist chapel, chap-el, Saturday afternoon, burial was mado in a "private lot at the Ogden City cemetery, the lot having been provided through the efforts of Dr. A. S. Condon and others. In her letter to Sheriff H. C. Poter-son, Poter-son, inclosing tho money for her burial, bur-ial, Miss Topfer requested that she bo laid to rest at the point where she fired the bullet into her brain. Thoso who interested themselves in tho case provided a lot which, they think, meets with tho wish expressed In the letter. Soveral prominent women of tho city attended the funeral services of the strange woman and the Rev. J. D. Koenhne, pastor oftho First Congregational Con-gregational church, conducted the services. |
